Problems with merging IFC files with different units.

Hi All,

I am having issues merging IFC models that have differing units. One IFC file has it’s units in MM and the other in M. BIMVision won’t let me merge the two. Is there a way to change the units of the IFC file with its units in M to MM and resave the IFC? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The IFC Merge plugin allows you to merge files with the same units only. It is not possible to convert units for an entire model with this plugin or any other BIMvision tool. This could affect the geometry of the model.
